The training

Eight levels. One skill.

A structured progression from holding a rhythm, through learning to see a distance, to riding a course. Each level trains one thing cleanly, then hands it off to the next. You ride every one of them on Napoleon, your schoolmaster gelding: honest, consistent, and endlessly patient.

  1. 1Level

    Rhythm

No fences. Just hold an even canter until it locks.

  2. 2Level

    Jump timing

Steady auto-canter. Press Take off to meet the perfect spot.

  3. 3Level

    Read the distance

Napoleon jumps a perfect line on his own. Call how many strides between the fences (3–8), the earlier the better.

  4. 4Level

    See the distance

Watch Napoleon jump and call Long, Good or Deep before each fence, the earlier the better. Starts at an easy pace and speeds up as your eye sharpens. Coach (side-on) or rider view, your call.

  5. 5Level

    Count down

Napoleon meets every fence on the perfect spot, all on his own. Call how many strides out he is, the moment you see it (3–8). The further out you call it, the more it pays.

  6. 6Level

    Half strides

Not every line walks clean. These all ride in a half: count his strides and read the take-off. Standing off long adds the half, chipping in deep drops it. Call the true length, 3.5 to 7.5.

  7. 7Level

    Sharper eye

Clean lines and broken lines, mixed, on a bending track. Nobody tells you which is coming: read each one and call exactly what you see, whole or half.

  8. 8Level

    Course

Pick your course: Classic, Derby or Grand Prix. Napoleon rides the bending track of numbered fences for as long as you like; each fence asks one question, the take-off spot or the length of the line. Exact calls score points, the earlier the better.
